The Opportunity

As the Information and Communications Technology Team Leader you will oversee and guide the ICT team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for delivering secure, reliable and innovative technology solutions to support strategic and operational objectives of the Council. The role involves leading a diverse team, managing ICT infrastructure, ensuring system security and implementing key technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence framework and cyber security strategies. You will be instrumental in developing and executing operational and strategic ICT plans as well as maintaining robust business continuity and disaster recovery strategies. A critical aspect of the role is fostering effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that ICT initiates align with Council's broader goals and operational needs.

Who are we looking for?

Critical to success in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Information and Communications Technology, extensive experience in ICT managements and demonstrated leaderships skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. You will bring strong understanding of network systems administration, cyber security, and strategic ICT planning, along with excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
