Water and Sewer Assistant Operator
Make a Real Difference Where You Live
Imagine finishing work and being just minutes from the beach, rainforest or river. That's life in the Nambucca Valley, a stunning stretch of the NSW Mid North Coast, just 30 minutes south of Coffs Harbour. Here, friendly country towns meet a relaxed coastal lifestyle, and community really means something.
At Nambucca Valley Council, our team of around 150 people work together to deliver essential services that make this region such a great place to live. We value our people, we support each other, and we take pride in the work we do for our community.
The Opportunity
Join our Water and Sewerage team and play a key role in keeping the Nambucca Valley flowing. You'll carry out maintenance and construction work on our water supply and sewerage reticulation systems helping ensure our community has safe, reliable water every day.
You'll also be part of an on-call roster to respond to after-hours emergencies because when the unexpected happens, our community counts on us.
About You
You're someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and being part of a supportive, close-knit team. Ideally, you'll have experience in the water and wastewater industry, particularly in maintaining and installing water and sewer infrastructure. You'll also need:
- A current driver's licence
- Good physical fitness
- Confidence using portable electronic devices
What We Offer
This is a permanent full-time role with an excellent work/life balance through an 8.5-day fortnight. You'll also enjoy:
- A weekly salary of $1,240.53 to $1,428.73 (including Level 2 Adverse Working Conditions allowance)
- 12% superannuation with your choice of fund
- Long service leave after five years
- Salary packaging options including remote area benefits
- Uniform and PPE supplied
